As Life Changes, Maturing Relationships Can Present Unexpected Challenges

Time flies fast when you’re having fun! And if you’re lucky, a long-term relationship can go from sharing years of precious memories to sharing whole stages of life. Many can effortlessly adjust to the changes that these new life stages can bring. But regardless, some women can expect to experience changes that will affect their physical, emotional, and mental well-being, particularly during the pre-menopausal stage.

If you’re lucky, you may only experience minor symptoms like occasional hot flashes, mood changes, and sleep deprivation. But many are suffering through extreme emotional roller-coasters and physical changes. When your loved ones and spouses are left in the dark about these changes, it can lead to major relationship dilemmas.

Spouses and loved ones can make a big difference at this stage by being mindful, considerate, patient, and most of all, educated. Some women may not even be aware that they’re experiencing pre-menopausal symptoms; and as a caring partner, you should start the conversation. Ignoring the signs will not make it go away, so take the first step and talk about it.

As one famous “Rock and Roll” legend whose marriage was saved by educating himself about menopause said:

For God’s sake, please don’t go to the pub and leave your wife alone while she’s having hot flashes and throwing pots and pans!

To the long-term partners in our lives … this tender-loving care will earn you a mile of gratitude and prevent major disagreements, and most importantly, nurture a harmonious relationship.

As couples’ relationships continue to progress and mature, it’s also a great time to assess the other people that affect our daily life; relatives, friends, neighbors, bosses, co-workers and anyone else in between.

We at Karmascore can help identify and eliminate the toxic relationships that weigh you down. When you are physically, emotionally and mentally healthy, you have more love to give.

Let’s nurture, measure and thrive!
